MSABI is an organization focusing on delivering progressive water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions. The program is a demand-driven, market based, replicable and expandable model for the implementation of cost-efficient community based solutions. The non-profit organization is pioneering innovative hardware and software systems that create independence, ownership and local WASH service delivery. MSABI acts as capacity building centre and spin-off hub for local sector related businesses and organizations. Research programs, in collaboration with international leading institutes, aim at developing, testing and validating new technologies and approaches. The MSABI team has over 60 local staff supported by international specialists. MSABI is seeking a water/wastewater (WASH) engineer to join our team. This role is open to both graduates and engineers up to 5 years experience. The position will involve working within our water implementation group with a focus on quality assurance, field supervision, technical design and review, monitoring and evaluation and reporting. The position has opportunity to grow into a leadership role. Preferably the successful candidate will have prior experience working on a rural WASH program, WASH technical knowledge including latest innovation sector developments, experience with developing proposals, project management and financial control, ability to build local capacity, and strong team building skills. Most importantly the candidate must have a passion for WASH and a love of field work.
