MONITORING AND EVALUATION DATA COORDINATOR (2 POSTS)

Plan has been working in Tanzania since 1991; it operates in 6 areas, Mwanza, Geita, Ifakara, Kibaha, Kisarawe and Dar es Salaam. Plan Tanzania works with 32,900 sponsored children, their families and their communities implementing programmes at grassroots level in child protection, health, education, water and sanitation, income generation and building relationship across cultures.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION DATA COORDINATOR (2 POSTS)- MWANZA & RUKWA
QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced Diploma in IT, EMR, Social Work or other equivalent field
- Experience with data entry, implementation of data management systems of 3-5 years
- Experience with data from health facilities or communities an added advantage
- Communication skills appropriate to the audience, multitasking, and detail oriented
-Attention to deadlines and must be conversant with data based computer application (Excel, Access, SPSS, Word and PowerPoint)
- Competent in written and spoken English
CHILD PROTECTION
Plan Tanzania is a child centered organization. Protecting the rights of the children is of paramount interest to us. Subsequently, all short listed candidates will undergo a police vetting check for criminal offences particularly relating to any type of child abuse. The successful candidate will be required to sign and adhere to the Plan Tanzania child protection policy.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A Degree in Business Studies or Commerce or Administration
- 3 years experience in similar role preferably NGO will be an added advantage
- Communication skills appropriate to the audience
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
- Proficient in computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications eg; word processing, spreadsheet database, internet etc

-Degree or equivalent in computer studies with 2 years working experience
- Proven ability and experience in setting up LANs and telecommunications networks
- Experience of supporting LANs, SQUL Server and email server administration
- Experience of Microsoft Server administration
-Experience in Managing and implementing Information Systems and Supporting Technologies

The Job Description
Zoop is looking to recruit talented software developer to join our team. The role is a full-time position for the duration of the contract. The role will involve building innovative software applications that will support the company’s vision and mission.

Tasks and responsibilities will include:
● Developing software scripts and code;
● mapping software logic to project technical specifications;
● Applying best of breeds standards in development, application, storage and recording of software code;
● complying with the Company’s technical testing procedures
● complying with unit testing on all projects as well as complying with Integration testing;
● Developing project modules as per set timelines;
● adhering to strict project timelines

Specialist knowledge required:
● Good understanding of Java programming language;
● Understanding of MVC framework;
● Understanding of Spring and Spring MVC frameworks
● In depth knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JavaScript);
● Good understanding of DBMS (MySQL/POSTGRESQL);
● Ability to use version control tools (Git/SVN);
● Ability to independently develop software;

The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:
● A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline;
● Minimum 1year experience developing custom-built software;
● Problem solving and analytical skills;
● Fluency in English (spoken & written) is a must
● Ability to work well as part of a team;
● should be adaptable
● Have good communication skills
● will have at least 2previously implemented applications which they can demonstrate

All candidates that make it through the initial screening stage will be asked to complete a coding test administered by ZOOP. Candidates will need to complete the coding test successfully before they can go the next stage where they will be interviewed by the ZOOP team.
