activities and developing the capacity of various stakeholders in data

• Assess in collaboration with the MOHSW and other stakeholders and the

The Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Specialist will be responsible
for the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the
project’s activities relating to orphan and vulnerable children and
their caregivers. S/he will work with the Government of Tanzania, NGOs,
CBO, and FBOs, and the private sector covering the implementation, and
management of OVC programs across the country.S/he will work with other

in responding to the needs of OVCs.

• Provides technical assistance and technical leadership on child

welfare workers (SWWs) in interventions for orphans and vulnerable

knowledge of OVC programming and child protection systems in sub-Saharan
Africa. Prior experience managing USG health programs in Africa,
preferably East Africa.
