Position Description:

The consultant shall be expected to share in the general work of the department including fluoroscopy procedures, reporting conventional x rays, performing ultrasound, CT, MRI and interventional radiology. Also he/she shall participate in clinical trials/research activities and participate in Departmental standby and on-call rotations.

Knowledge & Experience

Must be a qualified doctor, having Masters in Radiology

Effective use of initiative, and the ability to accept responsibility beyond that of job requirement

Good communication skills.

Team Worker

Duties / Responsibilities

Perform General and specialized X-ray and ultrasound procedures according to high standards.

Given written reports of all x-ray, ultrasounds, CT and MRI examinations done

Participate in teaching of other radiology and non radiology staff

Work in conjunction with clinicians and colleagues to develop and adapt protocols to produce improved scanning techniques

Analyze and interoperate results to assist with diagnosis and treatment of the patient.

Contribute to the supervision of clinical work and activities within assigned areas, to ensure the maintenance of highest professional standards.

Maintain clear lines of communication between all clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure the delivery of a quality imaging service.
