Position Description:
Candidate teaches characteristics, classification and development of
living organisms, relationships between organisms and with their
environment, cell structure, biological molecules, enzymes, cell
membranes and transport, cell and nuclear division, genetic control, gas
exchange, infectious disease, immunity, ecology, energy and
respiration, photosynthesis, regulation and control, inherited change
and selection and evolution. Subjects taught also include applications
of Biology - biodiversity and conservation, gene technology,
biotechnology, crop plants and aspects of human reproduction.
