The ODI Fellowship Scheme for Developing Countries Students, 2013-2015

The Overseas Development Institute offers Postgraduate Fellowship Scheme for the Students of Developing Countries in the field of Economics in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific, 2013/15
Study Subject(s): Innovation Economics and related subject.
Course Level: This scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate degree level.
Scholarship Provider: Department for International Development (DFID) in the UK,  AusAID and the World Bank Trust Fund, AusAID,the Commonwealth and governments of the Scheme’s member countries and their trust funds.
Scholarship can be taken at: Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific.
Eligibility:
-Degree in economics or a related field -Postgraduate degree qualification -Ability to commit to a two-year assignment -demonstrable interest in development – relevant work or voluntary experience -language competence for some posts (especially French, Portuguese or Swahili) – strong IT skills.
Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Developing Countries’ students can apply for this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: The Fellowship Scheme has two specific goals: To provide governments of developing countries with high caliber junior professional economists where gaps in local expertise exist. To provide recent postgraduate economists with practical work experience in a developing country.
Duration of award(s): Fellowship is offered for two years.
What does it cover? Total emoluments, including local supplementation at present amount to around £21,000 p.a.
Notification: Students will be notified by late January 2013- Short-listed applicants invited to attend selection board.
