INTERNAL AUDITOR

Reporting To:Internal Audit Manager _Business & financial Risk
The purpose of this role is to ensure protection of shareholder’s interest through ensuring effective implementation of the bank’s risk management policies & procedures in line with its overall strategy. Compliance to Bank’s Operations process and Procedures Manual and adherence of bank-wide internal control procedures so as to minimize loss due to inadequate or failed internal processes, people and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Participate and contribute in the risk assessment-process for target audit areas and documentation of results as guided by the Team Leader.
Prepare audit plan for specific audit assignments and implement in consultation with Team leader, to ensure completion within agreed schedule
Develop, in liaison with the Team Leader appropriate audit tests and programs aimed at achieving the desired objectives in areas auditable.
Draft, in concurrence with the Team Leader, suitable management letters reporting on key control weaknesses, non-compliance with procedures and management policies and regulatory requirements, among others, on those areas audited.
Complete audit assignments delegated by the Team leader according to the agreed plan.
Carry out the identified continuous monitoring reviews and report on the results at the ‘agreed intervals.
Work together with our External Auditors on annual confirmation of customer accounts balances and bank wide end of year cash count and compile a report on this exercise.
Assist in follow up and disposal of cleared audit issues logged from. previous audits.
Qualifications and Experience Required
University Graduate preferably in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration.
Qualified as CPA, ACCA or equivalent. Banking professional qualifications an advantage.
Technical and work experience – Having served in the internal audit function of a commercial enterprise for at least three years or in the operational area of a medium to a large size bank for the same period and, one year” of internal audit experience. Alternatively, having been trained with a professional firm of practicing Accountants for at least two years.
Personal attributes: Initiative, self-drive, hard work, maturity, oral and written expression, good team player, acceptability or ability to get along well with others.

OPERATIONS OFFICER
Desired Skills & Experience
Business Accountabilities• Design SBA related E4E projects in line with the overall E4E program strategy, so as to ensure maximized development impact.• Conduct scoping missions in MENA countries to assess and analyze the current state of education, vocational training, and skills development programs; identify gaps and recommend innovative solutions.
• Engage the private sector in addressing the gaps and work with a wide range of stakeholders including education providers, employers and policymakers.
• Design and implement innovative projects providing E4E solutions entailing quality assurance and certification frameworks, soft skills development, and information transparency.
• Manage the project life cycle project design, project implementation, and sustainable project exit including the management of project budgets, client cooperation agreements negotiation, implementation of identified project activities, hiring and management of consultants, monitoring and evaluation of project progress using the IFC monitoring and evaluation framework, and management of client relations to ensure project expectations are met and exceeded, amongst others.
• Prepare project and program reports and updates for management, donors and other stakeholders.
Relationship Management Accountabilities
• In line with the program strategy, identify potential clients and program partners for E4E Initiative for Arab Youth SBA related projects, and secure strong buy-in and ownership from the client as demonstrated by the client contribution to the project costs.
• Liaise and collaborate with other IFC advisory business lines, IFC Investment, and WBG staff to promote the integration for greater impact.
• Develop and maintain relationships with regional players in relevant sectors and foster strong relationships with regional institutions to identify collaboration opportunities and enhance client and business delivery; and
• Represent the E4E program in relevant conferences/workshops in collaboration with other stakeholders.
Selection Criteria
• Masters degree in business, education, or another relevant discipline;• A minimum of eight to ten years professional relevant experience;• Experience in education, technical vocational training, and skills development initiatives across tourism, construction, logistics, and ITO and BPO services is an added advantage, as is work experience in the MENA region;
• Experience in developing standards in education and training (e.g. qualification and certification frameworks) is a plus;
• Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability in developing stakeholders relationships and delivering on project results;
• Vision and demonstrated ability to see the “big picture” of country and regional private sector development;
• Demonstrated potential to develop innovative solutions across the E4E Initiative for Arab Youth focus agenda, coupled with potential to recognize, seize, and design innovative development project opportunities that can have sizeable reach;
• Fluency in English language both spoken and written, as well as in Arabic or French;
• Independent and autonomous, should be able to operate with minimum supervision;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills;
• Strong team player with ability to work effectively across organizational and regional boundaries in a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural, team environment;
• Professional maturity and excellent business judgment;
• Willingness to travel.

Purpose:

Main Accountabilities
Assess a customer’s business through the analysis of Business and Credit risks associated with the provision of the bank’s products and services to the customer.
Develop high quality credit solutions with the view of obtaining fast credit approval from Credit teams
Be the joint contact for credit management purposes for accountants, solicitors and other professionals.
Preparation of credit applications for recommendations to the sanctioners.
Coaching and mentoring of other team members on preparation of credit applications
Work in partnership with RMs on new and existing credit applications,
Providing guidance on credit appetite and consulting with Credit Team as appropriate.
Liaise directly with the sanctioning office for all credits that are outside local Risk Management or the Relationship Manager’s personal discretion.
Attend customer meetings with the Relationship Manager if credit related issues are to be discussed need to be resolved.
Proactively contribute to embedding agreed change management initiatives in support of process and quality improvements, cost reductions
Support and contribute to specific industry focus as determined by the Corporate/Credit Teams.
Introduce and drive through change, challenging ineffective processes and policies where appropriate.
Other tasks delegated by Head of Credit Sanctioning and Head of Wholesale Credit.
Review and sign facility letters and co-ordinate execution of documentation and draw down of facilities.
