Position Description:

Qualifications:

Diploma in Animal Health

Key Responsibilities

To create awareness amongst livestock keepers in his/her area of operation on good animal husbandry practices.

To carry out Animal vaccination and inoculation activities as a prophylactic measure to diseases occurring in the locality and also participate in livestock diseases treatment.

To carry out livestock extension services through established farmer pilot groups.

To report diseases outbreak immediately to the veterinary officer incharge

To initiate economic activities (income generating activities) other than livestock for the betterment of the farmers (e.g. Beekeeping, Dairy goats etc)

To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

Salary and Remuneration:

SG 5 (NCAA Salary Scale) i.e. TShs. 936,029 x 19,312/= = 1,071,213/= per month.

Entry point will depend on qualifications and experience.
